Field Notes

Description:

I believe these birds were starlings, but 'm not sure. The birds were a dark coffee brown color. When fighting over food, the feathers would puff up, becoming soft and fluffy, while making them look bigger, as though to intimidate the other birds. They had yellow beaks, and yellow around their eyes. Under their belly feathers, when they puffed up, you could see faint light spots sprinkled on their underside.

Habitat:

I found them next to a restaurant in Sentosa. They seemed to be quite friendly with humans, perhaps because they spend so much time next to each other.
