Um I think it was the 2nd most Amarillo has ever gotten, there was like 21 inches in 1934 or something ridiculous like that lol. It was 75 degrees today though! Glad to go south for 10 days and get away from internet and just find cool things!
!7 inches of snow in Texas, is that a record? I saw your Meadowlark pictures in the snow, but didn't realize you got that much.
We still have snow here too, got 17 inches last week! I will do my best! It's technically a fish trip, but there will be lots of birds too :)
Ashley, I'm already jealous, there's still plenty of snow on the ground up here! Have fun in southern Texas, there's always something really nice down there. I missed the Hook-billed Kite and Red-crowned Parrot on my Texas trips, so I hope you get them for me:-)
I'm going to be in extreme south Texas next week. Might get lucky and get some Mexican birds. Will be back with lots of spottings, hopefully one will finally make you jealous! ;)
Thanks Emily and Ashley. Roadside Hawks are easier to find from Mexico to South America. I've never seen one in the US, and it's a rare sight in the southeast.
Another great find! So jealous
