Thanks@leuba. i'm pretty sure it's the same insect!. the brown one is the male.
Hello I spotted them many times during my night safary in the forest. They are pretty big with a bright green color. Thanks for the interesting information.
Teriffic, Michele. This stick insect is actually mimicking a leaf and has very tiny non functional wings. The male is thin, brown and winged and can be seen in Leuba's link.

interesting head and mouth parts -like a scoop! seems to have wing buds or reduced wings. A leaf insect nymph perhaps??
