They have a dark green back and a light green belly. The head is blue, and there is a black collar around the neck.

Found from southern Texas to Central America and are common in urban areas. We were eating lunch at some picnic tables and we had several around us begging for food.

It was a very good day throw in a 2 racers and a snapping turtle aswell. A pygmy shouldnt be to hard to find they like sitting out in the open on top/in all the tangles of the brush or at the base of a tree. You will get one :)
I haven't gotten a dusky pygmy yet, but I should get plenty this summer! Nice, 18 snakes in one day would be awesome!
Sweet but then you would have to see me act like a little kid you would have to watch me so I dont wonder off :P Yeah those copperheads are almost like the dusky pygmy around my area except my highest in a day was 18 :)
Well the invitation is there if you make it over here! Copperheads are very abundant in east Texas, have gotten up to 8 in one night :)
Oh you would tease me with that copperhead!!! and with all the new species in Texas since ive never been I would'nt know what to do with myself lol.
What are you talking about! We're still young, plenty of time! Come to Texas and I will get you a Green Jay easily, and plenty of other cool birds and herps :) Like a copperhead ;)
To many amazing creatures to see not enough time in my life SIGH!
I hope to find a Stellar's Jay some day, they are also really pretty!
Yes they are! These and the Steller's Jay I would go straight to and stare at in bird field guides.
They are very pretty, Jeffrey!
Always wanted to see one of these every since I saw them in a field guide when I was little.
