Field Notes

Description:

Red around eyes, gray neck, and brown feathers. Stands a little over 3 foot tall.

Habitat:

Killeen, TX in a drainage ditch.

Notes:

I've seen this bird many times and finally took the camera to capture him. This is the only one in the area and right in the middle of downtown Killeen, TX.
