Field Notes

Description:

This is a mushroom that I found on a tree. It is slightly wrinkly at the top of the fungus. It has stripes of all shades of brown, white, beige, and also a tiny bit of green towards the center. At the longest point, from the tree trunk to the edge, was about 13.5 cm and at the widest point (from one end to the other), it is about 20 cm. If you look at the second photo, you can see half of a Handsome Fungus Beetle. I only noticed this when I got home to look at the photo.

Habitat:

I found this fungus in a secondary rainforest in Singapore.
