Male and Female

These two were seen making a nest 6' off the ground and 6' off a jogging path. Nest is about 10" long and made out of different moss's and lichen.

Yes, it's about 100' from an interurban lake.

Great series! I have tried to find a Bushtit actually making its nest but never have! Lucky you!
This nest sort of stood out as there aren't too many leaves on our trees yet. Now, saying that, not one person who walked or jogged by could see what I was looking at :). If I hadn't of seen a flicker out of the corner of my eye, I would have missed it as well.
