Wildlife Spotting

In our rainforest at school. This plant came across me and I wondered about this plant a lot. In this plant it has a linear leaf shape, has an an entire leaf margin, and parallel leaf venations. Also it has an alternate leaf arrangement, waxy leaf texture, it does not grow on other plants, thick and tough bark texture. It's roots have are very strong so they could hold and support the whole entire tree. The plant is dark green and its length is 21 cm and it's width is 1 cm. The whole plant is about 8 feet tall.
