Field Notes

Description:

There are no fruits or flowers on this plant. Its leaf has an oblong shape. The leaf is about 130 centimeters in length, and about 27.5 centimeters in width. The leaf margin is kind of like an entire/undulate, where the edges or smooth, but it's a bit bumpy up and down. The venation of the leaf is a netted pinnate, and the leaf arrangement is whorled. The leaf has no hairs and the texture is smooth and leathery, and you can also feel the veins. There is no bark that I could see.

Habitat:

Secondary rainforest.

Notes:

On the bottom of the leaves there is some orange/red particles, I think it might be some pollen from the stamen.
