Field Notes

Description:

A pale noctuid moth with beautiful black and brown patterns on wings. Wing span about 20mm. This one had plain antennae and could be a female.

Habitat:

Eats fungus off dead or dying trees.

This female moth appeared to be in a better condition- the wings were a creamy colour with better defined patterns.
