Description:

This is the flower stage fi the Dillenia suffruticosa fruit. The petals will drop by the end of the day and the sepals will fold back to cover the growing fruit. When the fruit is ready the sepals will unfold, looking like a pink flower, but revealing the seeds along their edges. <br> For a fuller explanation see the attached reference link.

Wetland Reserve.
