Field Notes

Description:

Green. I think this is in the first stages of pupation.

Habitat:

Strangely enough ....on the outer wall of my garage...this place opens into my yard. So open. What if a bird gets it or it rains?

Notes:

The third spotting was taken on 18 November, pupation is complete.

Thanks, Reza Hashemizadeh. Today I saw that the pupa is complete...looks like a dried bit of curled leaf...will post the spotting this evening. We do have Common ime butterflies here.P. demoleus...so perhaps this is it....hope I am around when it decides to emerge.
It kinda looks like the Lime Butterfly Pupa but I am not certain, perhaps a starting point for you on your search for an ID, Good luck :) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Papilio_demoleus
