Description:
This brown algae is unique in having no stipe between the holdfast and blades. The blades are often puckered and can grow up to 1.5 m long.
Habitat:
Spotted in a rocky tide pool at Tongue Point Marine Sanctuary. This perennial kelp is found on rock in the mid to low intertidal from semi-protected to semi-exposed habitats.
