Field Notes

Description:

Keeping an eye on the dog!

Notes:

A bit closer to home, these langur monkeys were in my garden yesterday. It is unusual that they come into the village, but with the water shortage this year, maybe they are moving in closer.
There was a tragedy yesterday evening, as a monkey jumped on the electric wires just as the power came back on after one of our power cuts. It usually comes back on with a full surge, and this monkey jumped just at the wrong time and was electrocuted. It was an adult, and taken to the animal sanctuary, but was already dead. So sad. Just outside my house...
