Description:
Whorled leaf pattern with thin needle like compound blades. Found on the right of the trail approximately 100 yards from cut back. Signs of ant predation and phototropism
Habitat:
Compact soil in tecolote canyon with exposure to direct sunlight. Growing among several distinct species
Notes:
Needle like blades suggest adaption to dry environments. Phototropism suggests competition for sunlight among species. No evidence of predation suggesting either commensalism or mutual symbiosis with ants
