Field Notes

Description:

A small spider shaped like a black widow. Unlike its larger cousin, the tangle web spider is a mottled tan and light brown. It uses this for camouflage among rocks, and could also pass as a more dull colored mimic of the second instar of the more poisonous widow spider.
