Field Notes

Habitat:

Pond in small park

Notes:

It's always good to see this large egret! It was quietly patrolling the edges of the ponds in search of small fish. Many people believe that these birds are cranes, but cranes (Sandhills at least) are typically gray/brown and are found in open fields and agricultural land.
