Field Notes

Description:

This moth was about 2 cm in length and 1.5 cm wide. Its wings had beautiful brown and yellow patterns. At the bottom of the wings, there was small yellow dots, and in the middle, there were larger yellow splotches. Its head was yellow and small, with two brown eyes. It had 6 yellow colored legs and two bent yellow antennae.

Habitat:

It was living in Singapore American School's rainforest, which is a secondary rainforest. The climate there was sunny, but the moth was probably in a shady area, since it was resting on the underside of a leaf.

Notes:

This moth was resting on the leaf for a long time without moving.
