It's a leaf-footed bug nymph, possibly a Thasus acutangulus. Compare with the picture half way down this web page: http://www.flickr.com/groups/coreoidea/pool/page3/?view=lg

Thank you Donna for the info. Sorry but I didn't pay attention to the plant but I will next time. I haven't heard of people eating this kind of bugs, but I'm not very familiar to the customs in the south of Mexico.
Nice series. They appear to be nymphs of a species of stink bug, also referred to as shield bugs. While researching I learned they are a eaten in Mexico, where they are considered a delicacy. Do you know what kind of shrub they were on?
