Field Notes

Description:

Also known as the School Mistress. 12cm long with 5 diagnostic vertical stripes on a silver white background, the first running through the eye and the last running down the tail the last two stripes are tinted with yellow. The fins are black tinted with yellow.

Habitat:

Found in shallow coral about 500 meters offshore.

Notes:

A busy little fish, this one was quite shy and hard to approach. Images taken from video footage.
