Field Notes

Description:

A furry deep reddish brown to yellowish red animal with a characteristic bushy red tail tipped with white, the red fox weighs between 8-14 pounds, and is 36-45 inches in total length. This specimen had darker brown/black legs.

Habitat:

Commonly found in areas of mixed pine-hardwood forests interspersed with fields, cropland and/or grasslands, urban and suburban areas throughout Georgia.

Canon 80D, Tamron 150-600mm lens set to 600mm.
