Field Notes

Description:

Yellow with white and brown discolorations. Thin. Covered in very pointy needles for protection. The mature organisms are yellow but there are also smaller green ones.

Habitat:

In coastal shrub habitat. Growing out of dry soil near pathway. Surrounded by taller shrubs as well as low lying clover like plants.
