Field Notes

Description:

Another translucent moth with bold bluish markings on both fore and hind wings. Wingspan: 62.00mm.

Habitat:

Suburb town, with lots of surrounding forests. Wet and warm area. Altitude: 3,000ft.

Notes:

This morning one of my friends sent me some photos of a moth on the WhatsApp, but they were all blurred. Just then he called me on the phone and asked me if I saw the photos. I told him they're not downloading! He said, "No I'm coming with the moth"! I took a few photos in my clinic! And this's one of them, to share with you.

Yes armadeus.4 and VivBraznell, nature seems to be the finest artist of all! Thank you for the encouraging comments.
Thanks Nuwan for the ID and the ref. Actually, I scanned Jatishwor Singh's over 1,600 spottings, hoping I could find a match, but to no avail. Thanks a lot!
Stunning moth! Looks like someone dropped blue dye on the wings and the dye ran, forming these beautiful patterns :D Thank you for sharing Dr :)
