I agree with Livan! :) If they were found in a river, I would suggest you to take a look at Crane fly larvae (Tipulidae). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crane_fly
I believe these are maggots of some kind, some sort of fly larva. I don't know what kind, but I think it's safe to place under Arthropods.
