Field Notes

Description:

A rather plain (which does not detract from it being a beautiful bird in its own right :D ) grey-brown bird with yellow/olive lightly edging the wings and tail. The name comes from the pale gape between the eye and the beak.

Habitat:

Hanging about in the backyard.

Notes:

In September I saw two together for the first time (at Silent Grove campground) and I think it was only last month that I saw, again for the first time, two of these birds hanging out together in the backyard! Usually I have only seen a solitary bird.
