Description:

The Cloudless Sulphur is the most common & widely distributed species of all Sulphur butterflies and has four named subspecies.

Habitat:

Southern Canada south to South America. Open areas; parks, yards, roadsides, fields, scrub & seashores. Host plants: Cassia species in the pea family (Fabaceae). Adults nectar from long tube flowers including cordia, bougainvilla, cardinal flower, hibiscus, lantana, and wild morning glory.
