Field Notes

Notes:

This is "Vladimir", as a friend of mine affectionately calls him! I have tried to find him and his mate "Veronica" a handful of times with little success. Today after work I decide to try my luck again. Veronica is on eggs and has been for 3 weeks. If it wasn't fore her tail feathers sticking out of the nest I would have never found them. They live in a greenbelt near a complex of offices so they are very used to people and didn't mind me approaching. Can't wait to see babies in a few weeks! Fingers crossed for them!

Thanks Joshua! It's always exciting to see an owl since they are so reclusive! I'd love to find a bard owl! :-/
