Field Notes

Description:

I walked into a web last night and found it belonged to this quite attractive wool coated orb spider. 30mm long.

Habitat:

Suburban back yard on canna lily.

Notes:

Highly variable. After accidentally destroying the main web I realised the spider seems to have gathered a large part of the web - maybe the stabilimentum to be resorbed ? <br>
