Description:

An unidentified (short-horned) grasshopper, an insect of the suborder Caelifera in the order Orthoptera. This is a common species at this location.

Habitat:

Spotted in a large semi-urban yard & garden situated next to a disturbed patch of remnant lowland forest.

Thanks Argy. No :-) I'm inspecting the poor thing brought in unsolicited and quite limp :-( I immediately released it to the coastal forest.
