Field Notes

Description:

This plant was probably about 1 meter tall and had dark brown stems. Its leaves were green colored, approximately 10 cm long and 5 cm wide. The flower petals were light pink colored and curled at the bottom. The center of the flower was crown-shaped and a bright red color, in which the middle had a deep well.

Habitat:

This plant was living in Singapore Botanic Gardens. The climate there was cool and wet, because it recently rained there. The plant, though, was in an open area that can allow it to get sunlight. I spotted it at 7:14 PM.

Notes:

Since it recently rained, the "well" in the center of the flower was filled with rain water.
