Description:
Small yellow flowers about 4 inches tall, growing in groups. They're pretty, although classified as a noxious weed in Hawaii.
Habitat:
Spotted at an altitude of around 9000 ft in alpine desert conditions. Specifically, these flowers were 4800 ft. below the summit of the volcano Mauna Kea, the world's tallest mountain when accounting for its height below sea level.
Notes:
Invasive, and introduced from South Africa.
