Thanks again bayucca, looks like you put some time in here. I think also Lymantria sapaensis, also recorded from northern Thailand. Many specimens here http://www.insecta-web.org/cgi-bin/MWM/vk/dysplay_virt_koll.pl
Erebidae, Lymantriinae, Lymantriini, Lymantria sp., sorry, cannot tell you for sure which one it is. Very variable and sometimes quite a distinctive sexual dimorphism. Might be Ganara? Narindra? Possibly Sapaensis! Male http://www.boldsystems.org/pics/MPGM/LYRA029%2B1428220938.jpg http://www.jpmoth.org/~dmoth/Digital_Moths_of_Asia/90_NOCTUOIDEA/02_EREBIDAE/01_LYMANTRIINAE/01_Lymantria/Lymantria%20ganara/Lymantria%20ganara_050105452.jpg http://www.boldsystems.org/index.php/Taxbrowser_Taxonpage?taxid=190896 Checking other links (sometimes I hate this stupid new flickr!!) I might have found it nevertheless... Looks like being Lymantria sapaensis, originally described from Vietnam and only 1998, so, quite a new species!! https://species.wikimedia.org/wiki/Lymantria_(Porthetria)_sapaensis From a russian paper, no chance to read the text, but the pictures are find: http://molbiol.ru/forums/uploads/a004/b047/post-37165-1389112041.jpg https://www.flickr.com/photos/77995220@N00/22532584945 Maybe you find the female nearby?? https://www.flickr.com/photos/itchydogimages/15323806206
