Field Notes

Description:

Leaf beetle family (Chrysomelidae) Subfamily: Cassidinea. Yellow with black stripes and black spikes and dung on tail. .50 inches long (12.7 mm) They can cause considerable damage to host plants.

Habitat:

Meadow with abundant flowers and weeds, but near edge of meadow toward Open woodlands.

Notes:

Cute twins with dung on their tails. So adorable. LOL. I found this spot on my birthday. The greatest present I ever got. Well, not quite. HA! http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/19488285. See link for beautiful beetle as an adult.
