Field Notes

Description:

A clam lerp created by a psyllid bug.
I have lifted one lerp to expose the small hemiopteran bug inside.
These lerps are easily located by the typical discoloration they cause on the leaves.

Notes:

This other one is quite similar. http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/9096359

I think I should have called this a basket lerp or a lace lerp.. http://www.lifeunseen.com/index2_item_1258.php http://www.pir.sa.gov.au/forestry/forest_health/forest_health_fact_sheets/factSheets/lerps_insects
