Field Notes

Description:

This delicate white moth had a wingspan of 20mm. Both wings had black and brown patterns and thin wavy black lines which were better defined in the hind wings.
The front legs showed dense brown setae. It looked like the forewings had a tinge of colour (cream)
Feathery antennae - might be male.

Habitat:

Moth larvae lives off fungus on dead trees and is seen in the eastern coastal areas of Australia; more frequently in the southern parts.
