Description:

A Melanitis butterfly visited one late afternoon.
Dirty dark yellowish brown in color makes it camouflages itself on dry vegetation. 2cm - body length, 36mm - height of each wings.

Habitat:

Still Unknown.

Agree with Melanitis. Can't get closer than Daniele. Very variable species.
Hi Chun! I'm hesitating between M. leda and M. zitenius. Zitenius is described as crepuscular.
