Field Notes

Description:

This plant was found as a vine. The leaves were green with a shiny coating and a the width of about 3 1/2 inches. Some leaves had 3 points. The two points of the leaf on the outside were the same size, while the point in the middle was longer. Other leaves only had one point and rounded at the edge. The leaves with only one point was mainly found at the bottom and the top of the vine. While the leaves with three points were found in the middle of the vine.The stem that the leaves were attached to was also green. The vine appeared to start from the bottom and continued to wrap around the tree in an upward direction. There were light green little hair like string that attached the vine to the tree. The hair like string had tight curls and was usually found where a leaf was located.

Habitat:

This vine was found wrapped around a tree on the 'Aiea Loop Trail. There
