Field Notes

Description:

They are the smallest member of the grebe family. They are gray all over with a large white rump. The bill is pointed, and the eye is bright orange-yellow.

Habitat:

They are found in southern Texas, Central America, and portions of South America.

Notes:

Was a lifer for me, and one I was very excited to find :)
