Field Notes

Description:

This flower has a lot of pink petals, that seem to fall off very easily. In the middle of the group of petals, is a green bud. The loaves of this plant have a short drip tip and they are waxy.The arrangement of the leaves are opposite, with an oblong leaf shape. And the root system is buttresses. The bark of the tree is very bumpy and rough.

Habitat:

The area was shady. On the ground were most of the pink petals that had fallen off. There were only a few of these flowers on the tree.
