Field Notes

Description:

These mushrooms are very small; the caps are about 1/2 inch wide. Underneath the caps, the gilled underside contains the spores. The stems all seem to originate from a single point in the log on the ground that it was growing in. On the top of the caps, there was a little "bump" for purposes I do not know.

Habitat:

This was found during a mostly dry part of the year, in a secondary rainforest on a sunny day in Singapore, near my school. It was given partial shade by medium-size trees above it.

Notes:

This was found near a concrete path. It had a parasitic relationship with its host log.
