Description:

I thought Lizard at first but the fatter rear thighs suggest frog or toad, either way I have not been able to find anything close yet.

Habitat:

Lowland rainforest.

Notes:

Sinharaja forest reserve.

I think it's Otocryptis wiegmanni based on the stripes on the upper lip and the stripes between the eyes
I don't think that is a complete list, Sri Lanka is a biodiversity hotspot and surely has more lizards than that. I'm pretty sure this is a Kangaroo lizard of some sort, you can tell by its posture and body shape

Your first thought was right. This is most definitely a lizard of some kind. Looks a little iguana or basilisk-like to me.
