Field Notes

Description:

Lavender (dry) cap, with tan/beige gills/stem.

Habitat:

Found on a trail (forest floor) through a swamp on the Ogeechee River, near Savannah, GA. I have read that these are found mainly in New England and Canada, but I have not found any other mushroom type to identify this as. All images are of the same mushroom, although the first image was taken on one day, and the rest were taken the following day.
