Field Notes

Description:

There were two Punchinellos...one (this one) was a light brown colour. The butterfly is slightly battered (especially the right wings) but no less beautiful for it.

Habitat:

Suntaley Khola is a remote hilly and forested area by the River Murty in the Dooars region of West Bengal, India. This species was seen just outside the resort.

Notes:

The second one was definitely more reddish: http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/1620422965
