I also saw the female land on the feeder on my back deck. They were both around 10 inches tall.

Well Sharp Shinned hawks are most commonly confused with Coopers Hawk. Coopers hawk have long tails and are a bit bigger then sharpies. Coopers are 14-20' and Sharpies are 10-14'. Coopers have longer, rounded tails and Sharpies have short, squared off tails. The tail on this one looks long and the ends of the tail feathers are more rounded, so I'll put an ID suggestion for a Cooper.
ConnorSheWing: Do you have another ID suggestion? It's hard to tell from the photo, but he is only about 10 inches tall. I would love to hear any suggestions you might have.
You guys sure this is a Sharpie? That tail seems offley long to me.
