Description:

Canvasback duck in duckweed

Habitat:

During breeding season, Canvasbacks choose small lakes, deep-water marshes, sheltered bays of large fresh water and alkali lakes, permanent and semi-permanent ponds, sloughs, potholes and shallow river impoundments.
