No worries, Debbie! Thanks for your feed back. It is essentially brainstorming and ultimately does lead to an ID.
Debbie,the other spotting is a different variety and species of Aloe. The flowers and leaves are totally different.
I think Seema is correct Hemma, I apologise, I was just assuming that as you had already posted flowering Aloe as a separate spotting you had ruled these out as being the same.
BrodieMaxa,I will research further.
These are a species of Aloe, most certainly not Kniphofia uvaria, look at the huge difference in leaf morphology.
are nt they aloe flowers? blooming all over this time of the year..
