Field Notes

Description:

Tall tree to 8m, lime green pinnate leaves, clusters of yellow puff ball flowers. The flower photo was taken 26th August and the fruit photo was taken 25th November.

Habitat:

Tree growing on the James Cook University, Cairns campus.

Notes:

In the fruit photo the leaves look different from the pinnate leaves in photo1 because it is actually a mistletoe growing in the Pararchidendron. You may be able to see the new buds of the mistletoe mid right hand edge of the photo.
