Field Notes

Description:

Medium size bird with long tails. Mostly brown with rusty color blended patches around face, underwings and under tail.
You can hear them when they forage in leaves for food.

Habitat:

Can be found in many places from chaparrals, roadsides, parks and backyards.

Notes:

Must be breeding season when you see twigs in their beaks.
