Field Notes

Description:

These geese were all together in a big group. They are very large birds and have black necks with grayish-brown bodies.

Habitat:

These geese were in a group standing by first dam at the mouth of logan canyon. There was a large group of them there, and some swimming.

Notes:

These birds often make their nests and live near water. Many geese migrate during the winter to southern parts of the US, where it is warmer, and food is easier to find.
