Field Notes

Description:

Short tailed sparrow. Streaks on back, breasts and flanks only with spot in center of breast belly is light colored. Small bill, long toes and crest on crown of head. Yellow spot in front of the eye. Bill is light colored with dark tip.

Habitat:

grassland, marsh, and farmland with medium height bushes, shrubs and tall grass.
